The library of the Yessenov KSUTI (Yessenov University (hereinafter – YU) is one of the main structural units whose task is to provide high-quality educational process, scientific research of the teaching staff, specialists of postgraduate professional education and students.

The library’s mission is to provide each user with high-quality and effective access to any information resources that contribute to their educational, scientific and professional activities, to the recorded wisdom, experience and ideas of others, to promote the cultural education of the university staff, to be a conductor of culture, science and the latest technologies.

Responsibilities:

to promote the achievement of high-quality education and scientific research by improving information and library services, introducing modern information and computer technologies;
create conditions for free access to information resources;
to inform users about all types of services provided by the library;
to study user requests in order to fully satisfy them, to improve information and library services;
promptly consider user requests with complaints, statements and suggestions for improving the work of the library;
to keep the confidentiality of user information and its reading;
if there are no publications necessary for users in the funds, request them from other libraries by interlibrary subscription;
to increase the level of information culture of users by training, consulting, informing;
to be responsible for the safety of their book collections; to constantly monitor the return of issued documents to the library;
to ensure a high service culture;
create and maintain comfortable working conditions for users in the library;
to provide users with free access to the library’s collections;
to provide users with complete information about the composition of library collections free of charge through the catalog system and other forms of library information;
to provide consulting assistance to library users in the search and selection of information sources;
to provide users with the opportunity to work with a reference and search engine, including catalogs, card files, databases, including using local networks and the Internet;
to ensure the safety of users in case of emergencies.
